He has a master's degree in physician assistant studies. It took him 7 years to complete the schooling from beginning through residency. He is responsible for patient consultation regarding different urologic cancers, he also responsible for the robotics surgery program with the urology group at Huntsman. He takes care of patients in an in as well as out patient basis.
How often do you use communication?
Jeff communicates every day and in every conversation he have with patients as well as other staff members. Communication is very important in the hospital you to speak slowly and clear. And be careful what you say.
Do you communicate a lot?
Jeff have cancer treatment discussions with patients every day. Many of these conversations involve medical terminology and other difficult to understand content. He must communicate very well so the patient understands the risks and benefits of certain procedures or surgeries.
How is communication in your field?
He communicates by verbal conversation, by email, by messages passed onto the patient through nursing staff and other staff. He must keep a calm demeanor while discussing very sensitive topics so there is also some non-verbal communication as well.
