Proponents that agree with that statement are right to argue that no one forced the creature to commit these dreadful crimes and those were all acts on his own. Of course, people who believe that humans are born with certain characteristics that make them who they are would certainly take issue with the argument that Victor’s creation is the real monster. On the other hand, Victor still created the monster. Since Victor is the God of this monster, he is still responsible for all the evil characteristics the monster may have because he gave them to him. This claim is more than mistaken because the fact that Victor mistakes pushed the creature to vengeance is overlooked. Although the argument about who the real monster is may seem of concern to only a minor group of people, it should concern anyone who cares about people being falsely judged and the effects of treating people negatively. In this novel, the author makes an excellent effort in showing that one’s actions, if not considered carefully, will have a tragic aftermath. Kurt Vonnegut once said, “ Another flaw in the human character is that everybody wants to build and nobody want to do maintenance.” Obstacles will occur for any creation that doesn’t have the opportunity to be cared for. Ultimately, selfishness and neglect are characteristics that any real monster will
