In the beginning, Jason Grace is very strong and the chosen one. First, Jason is the chosen one because, in the beginning of the book, Coach Hedge explains to Jason “I got a message from camp. They said an extraction team is on the way, They’re coming to pick up a special package, but they wouldn’t give me details. So, are you the special package?” Since Coach Hedge referred Jason as “the special package”, that must mean Jason is very important in the story. Also, Jason is a strong individual from his demonstration at the campfire of his godly powers. “Jason raised his javelin, and thunder broke open the sky.
