In the movie James Bond: Dr. No, James bond, a british spy, is the protagonist and he goes on the hero’s journey to accomplish his mission of finding out what happened to John Strangways, an agent working in Jamaica, given to him by his boss. Over the course of the journey, James Bond changes as he becomes braver, and also realizes he has feelings for a girl named Honey Ryder. This change is significant, because towards the end of the film, James Bond goes back in the building that has a nuclear core meltdown, to save her life.
Throughout the course of this movie, James Bond faces many challenges. The first challenge is when a phony government driver takes him to his destination. Bond finds out, and overtakes the driver The next challenge Bond faces is when he becomes seduced by an asian secretary, who works under a government official, who tries to hand Bond over to the antagonist, yet Bond discovers her true intents and has the police come arrest her. While at the lady’s house, a professor whom Bond spoke to earlier tries to kill him, and Bond overtakes the professor. Bond also discovers the antagonist, who is Dr. No, has a lair on Crab Island, and goes there. Bond and Honey then later eat dinner with Dr. No and shortly after Honey is escorted out and Bond is beaten up. Bond then gets put into a room where he climbs into the vent and exits into the control room. There, Bond sees a nuclear core that becomes more reactive the more that a man turns a metal wheel. Bond shoves the man over and starts turning the wheel, and then drowns Dr. No is the solution that is surrounding the nuclear core. Everyone then evacuates the room and Bond goes to find and save Honey. After saving Honey, both of them exit the building and make it to
