Italy is a country located in Southern Europe and is made up of lots of mountains and it runs from the Alps to the Central Mediterranean sea. Italy isn’t just made up of mountains though it also has quite a few islands like the Sicily, Sardinia, Elba, and about 70 other smaller ones. Italy is a huge tourist place any many people travel there every year due to all the things they are popular for like their fashion, engineering, vehicles, and above all things food. Another big thing to expect when traveling to italy is art they have lots of art.
Italy is popular for their and some of their foods are very different from what we eat over here and even have some different ingredients from what we would use in our foods. One food that is in the top 10 is Saltimbocca meaning “hoping in the …show more content…
Sports are very important in Italy and the most popular is soccer or over there they like to call it football. Italy’s national soccer team has won 4 world cups. There are other sports played such as basketball, volleyball, water polo, golf, and tennis. Olives, grapes, sugar beets, corn, tomatoes, and some citrus fruit are lots of the foods that are produced in Italy. All these foods produced are key essentials to a lot of the foods and drinks produced in Italy. Olives are the main ingredient in italian cooking, without grapes they wouldn’t be able to make wine, sugar beets aren’t used a lot for cooking but they are one of the most grown crops in the country. When traveling to Italy there usual dining etiquette consist of soup, pasta, the main dish, salad, cheese, dessert, and fruit and if they want it is usually followed with a cup of coffee. So there dinners are done a bit differently than how we do because we sometimes may follow a routine but not all the time whereas over there all their meals are followed in a certain
