The next day, my legs were tired but that didn’t prevent me from having an enjoyable day. First we went to the Staten Island Ferry where we rode a ferry past the Statue of Liberty. The ferry was full of people but there were three floors to fit everyone on. It also moved surprisingly fast for such a sizeable boat. The next site on the agenda was to visit Grand Central Station, a rapidly fast train station that carries people from all over the country to and from New York. The ceilings were filled with maps of stars and the building itself was jaw dropping. We stayed and got lunch there before heading off to our last stop of the day, St. Patrick’s Cathedral. The cathedral was as big as Grand Central Station except it felt more authentic and

“Here we are,” I thought to myself as my parents and I pulled up to a big oak tree in our old, puke colored Subaru. The massive tree overlooked the Boston Harbor and the enormous cruise boats on it. Under the oak stood an assortment of kids and instructors from all over the world. No a one of them knowing what they were about to get their self into.…

Anna Maria Island is a special place to visit in Florida. This beautiful barrier island is located in Manatee County on Florida's west coast in the Gulf of Mexico. I've been there three times to stay at my Papa and Grandma's condo on family vacations, and I am fond of it there! There is a place where many people go to for a wonderful vacation, it’s called Tome Island. It is fifty miles north of Hawaii, I don’t just visit, I live here. This isn’t a regular island, the grass was more green than a green marker or paint brush, beautiful crystal blue waters and bright white sand. But that's not the kicker, the kicker is that Is wasn’t just formed, it was made. Beautiful creatures built it, they are like giant white birds who can blow massive winds and fly up to 190mph, we call them Tomasians.…

Our vacation to Mackinac Island started out normal, but the rest of the trip… not so much. My brother and I were having a nice picnic by arch rock, eating grilled cheese sandwiches, when I noticed a strange shimmer in the unique formation. “Does Arch Rock look like it’s shimmering to you?” I asked my brother, wondering if I was hallucinating. He glanced over at the formation and a look of curiosity quickly spread across his face, answering my question.…

I was very nervous on the two-weeks trip to the “land of opportunity”. Once I got there, I admired the first classes’ clothing and expensive jewelry. Then, a small boat took us to Ellis Island to get inspected. It was a long process, and I was starting to get hungry. I had very little food to last me the whole inspection.…

After that my brother, sister, and I were guided to the couches that were located in the lobby, while my parents spent about twenty agonising minutes checking us in. After the long flight I just wanted to lay down and rest, but my dad thought it would be a wonderful idea to go out into the city and explore some of the many different places. Groaning and dragging my feet along with shoulders hunched forward I followed my eager parents into a place that I had never been before. The hustle and bustle of the day was all around me, and the amount of people who were walking throughout the streets and the sidewalk was astounding. About five minutes into the walk a loud noise boomed throughout the entire city chanting words in a language I had never heard before.…

“Son, I think it's about time you get into the family business,” my dad said, “We both know that I'm getting older and I need someone to prolong the reign of the “Roman Empire.” “Dad, you know I don't agree with what our family does,” I said defiantly. “We'll talk about this later, but for right now let us celebrate the 16th birthday of my dear son, Alberto,” dad said. My dad, Carmine “The Roman” Falcone, was the leader of the Roman crime family. There is only one way to describe my father, large.…

Directly outside the entrance of the airport I was entranced. Leaving a skyline of dying trees and brisk weather and entering a bright flourishing tropic was a sight of wonderland. I fell in love immediately, the sun was high and bright, and the view was green, full of mountains in the horizon, just out of reach. I was astounded that I was in the big city, yet it was nothing like i’d seen before. The buildings weren’t tall or intimidating like back home, they second to the surrounding…

The gorgeous, shiny whisper walls held our attention for hours, and the way our whispers traveled across the room amazed even the smartest of us. A line a mile long stopped us from getting our food there, instead my father and I found a small sub shop.…
