Islamic Ring This Islam ring was found in the late 19th century in a grave. The grave was found near a trading site for Vikings. Scientists believe that this was a Viking ring and that they were in contact with the Muslim World. The ring has a little drawing that says il-la-la, which means for/to Allah. This proves that they were in contact. The ring looked like it was made of amethyst, but when the researchers examined it more they saw that it was made of silver alloy and colored glass. Scientist thought that it would mean the the ring was fake because it was made with less expensive materials. That was not the case in the Viking World.
