Isis Isis is the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIS). Isis is a militant group, which is led by and composed of Sunni Arabs from Iraq and Syria. They have control over territory occupied by ten million people in Iraq and Syria. It has control over small areas of Libya, Nigeria, and Nangarhar. The group also operates in other parts of the world including South Asia.
Isil is posting internet videos of soldiers, civilizations, aid workers, and civilizations being beheaded. They are also known for destroying cultural heritage sites. Muslim leaders around the world are arguing that the group is not reflecting true Islam and their teachings.
