Critical Commentary
Introduction
“Is Hyperloop the Future of Travel” is an article from BBC that talks about Hyperloop, a conceptual transportation system that would shorten travel time by a great amount. I choose this article because I like travel and I believe that travel will become easier and faster in the near future because of innovations and new technology such as Hyperloop. This article mainly focuses on two parts: the first part explains what Hyperloop is and how it works; the second part discusses problems that Hyperloop is having or might have in the future. When I was translating this article, I found some words, phrases and sentences difficult to translate.
Vocabulary
For most of the unfamiliar words, I simply looked them up on the online dictionary www.wordreference.com, and find out their translation. I like using WordReference because it gives you multiple options for each word, and explain when to use which. For example, when I searched “fired” in the sentence “pods are fired through vacuum tubes,” WordReference gave me multiple options such as “dispara,”
