However, I think google speeds up the thought process. Likewise, when you take time to think and meditate on an answer, it’s a possibility that you might be wrong. Yet, when using the web you can be guaranteed to get the right answer at a rapid pace. The hyperlinks that Carr mentions as we “power browse” are useful when going deeper into a topic. For example, if kids are struggling in school, google can help them to understand their subject much better. Also kids love computers so the process would be educational and fun. For me, reading something in a book is old fashion, boring and it takes a long time. However, searching the web you can find exactly what you need more efficiently. He think that we rely too much on google rather than our own brain. However he overlooks all the benefits that the internet has to offer. Carr’s logic is that we should actually take the time to learn rather than take the easy way out. However if you had the chance to take the easy way out, would you do it? For instance, would you work every day to save up to buy a car or would you rather have your parents buy you a car? Now if you think about it you may say if you bought the car yourself you’d appreciate that car so much more because you paid for it. However, having a car given to you is so much better because you have saved so much money and you’ll still be appreciative of that gift. Now would you rather study for hours to understand something or would you rather process the information more quickly and efficiently. I rather use google. That’s why I say google is my best
