As a beginning business student, I have yet to determine whether or not globalization can be considered positive or negative for the world markets. To me the idea of something being good for business would be simply something that increases the profitability of the business. However, when talking about large concepts such as globalization, it is hard to definitively say that it is good or bad. By understanding the pros and cons of globalization, I hope to shed a better light on globalizations role in the greater scheme of world economics. Globalization has impacted the world greatly, the aspects of national autonomy most greatly influenced by globalization are financial, industrial, technological, political and cultural.

The widespread availability of global goods, services and ideas positively impacts the lifestyles of globalized countries citizens. Advocates claim that globalization benefits individuals by providing (Premise 5) more opportunities for work and travel abroad (Conclusion 5) due to liberal immigrant laws and foreign worker programs, better access to external financing, greater consumption of worldwide entertainment (e.g. music, sports and fads), and the rapid exfiltration of consumer products (e.g. food, clothing brands).
Conclusion
Many of the arguments for and against globalization are well founded but definitely depend on your personal perspective, or at least the perspective of where you are at in the proverbial food-chain. There are many, many examples of “good” globalization results (increased global trade) as well as “bad” results (drug cultivation). With the advent of the internet, globalization is here to stay and will continue to weave its way deeper and deeper into global
