As Americans, we have grown accustomed to our racy lifestyles. So when it is meal time, we want to just grab a bite and go. There is no shortage of restaurants where a person can get a quick and inexpensive meal. They do not even have to take time to get out of their car, as these establishments provide a drive up window to speed things up even more, from McDonalds to Chick-Fil-A to, even places that claim they are a healthier choice, such as Subway. Naturally we would all assume that these restaurants have strict rules, and regulations as to the nutritional value of their product required by the Food and Drug Administration. Some of their reasoning is obvious and absolutely true, it is convenient, fast and cheap to buy. People are so busy in their daily grind with a full time job, and being a student, and raising children, they have no time for anything for themselves, and this includes the planning and preparation of meals for the day. So, yes, fast food is definitely available at a moment’s notice, as well as very affordable to buy. Those are facts that cannot be disputed. However, they also have said that the fast food industries have included healthy choices to their menus, such as salad, and soups. Everyone knows the benefits of a fresh garden salad, with carrots, cheese and tomatoes. According to the website called, “Is It Unhealthy?” which address this very question, “Is eating a McDonald’s salad unhealthy?”, and the answer, “Yes, You might believe that you are being healthy by eating a salad at McDonald’s but you may be shocked to learn that most of their salads have more calories and fat than their cheeseburgers” (Is It Unhealthy,
