Cain begins the novel by introducing the introvert lifestyle. She concludes that these individuals are apprehensive, timid, and focused on individuality. Although introverts are perceived to be recluse and isolated, they do socialize and enjoy parties but often need time alone whereas extroverts are always in need of company. I anticipate that the author will demonstrate how extroverts will dominate our society and socially neglect introverts.
