I don’t think intimacy just refer to a sexual contest. When Smith Rosenberg discussed intimacy, he is referring the bond that these women developed through their lives went beyond something sexual or physical. He is talking about the emotional and intellectual connection these women develop through their lives. The support, affection and time spend together is understandable that these women were so close. Beyond all I say previously, the society gives the freedom to women to create this type of sisterhood.
