Interview Reflection Paper

The interview assignment helped me get to know all of the people in this class. In my other classes, I often cannot name more than the few people who sit beside me, if I can name that many. That is very different from my high school classes where I know every person in the room. This assignment made this class more comfortable for me, as I was able to make a small connection with every classmate. This assignment forced me to communicate with every single person in the class rather than the people who sat around me on the first day. If we hadn’t done this project, it is very likely that I would have never spoken to a number of classmates. While I may have been uncomfortable at first, I have found the class to be more enjoyable the more I have talked to everyone and learned about my classmates. This could be linked to the Uncertainty Theory. I think that a similar concept could be helpful in any class because it is easier to learn in a comfortable environment. This is similar to my plan to attend a four year college after finishing an Associate of Arts degree next year. I expected this to be an answer to my question regarding why they chose Normandale, but I didn’t realize that it would be almost everyone. The reasons given for choosing Normandale were often that it was cheaper or close to home. Many people intended to get some credits at Normandale before transferring to another university such as the University of Minnesota or Mankato. Some people chose Normandale because they wanted to get a specific degree and go into the workforce, and others didn’t have much of a plan other than getting some education after high school, and Normandale was convenient. I found that it didn’t really matter why each person chose Normandale, every single person was motivated to be successful while they are
