Integrity In The Us Army Essay

The US Army is a profession. For 242 years volunteers joined the US Army to serve together under one common cause, with the same standard core objectives, which are to maintain and protect the ambitions framed within the United States Constitution. US Army organizes and controls its forces through the use of professionally established standards. “A professional is a volunteer certified as an expert, in the case of the US Army, in the profession of arms to support the projection land power. Professionals are bonded together with their comrades in a shared identity and service in a culture of selfless sacrifice to the United States of America.” The US Army originated under Federal Statute, Title 10, U.S. Code 3062 (a); with the intention of preserving the peace with security and providing for the defense of the United States, while supporting national policy against all enemies foreign and domestic.” As a preserver of this peace and a provider for the defense of the United States and its allies, professional challenges frequently erupt for the US Army. Certain professional challenges for the US Army include the enforcement of honor violations, integrity issues, and non-compliance to a given standards.
