A refugee can be described as a person who has struggled with something in their hometown. Refugees move from one country to another to start a new life for their families. Ha and her family are one example of refugees.
One thing that refugees go through is loss. Many families may lose their mother, father, or siblings by the specific event in their country. One example of this is in Inside Out and Back Again, because Ha lost her father by moped during the war. Her family doesn’t know where he has gone and don’t know if he will return. One refugee has explained that they have lost their sibling in war while they were trying to escape. A woman by the name of Dario Mitidieri, took a picture of a Syrian family with an empty chair and the rest of the family surrounding it. The photo shows the members of that family that were lost while trying to escape Syria. Refugees are probably scared the rest of their life now because of the family members they have lost and all the destruction of their country, cities, and towns.

He tried taking a ship to Australia, but after half of the journey, they had ran out of food and the engine failed. Instead of a quick voyage, they were stuck out in sea for 47 days.
