Throughout life, there are certain technological advancements everybody experiences which affect their lives in either positive or negative ways. To be more specific, the field of photography is a field which has had some major technological advancements with imaging, resulting in the discovery of radiographs, computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging. The chain reaction of advancements from photography to medicine has helped the world in increasing life expectancies, discoveries of deadly diseases, and curing health conditions. As things evolve, society tends to forget the origins of the evolved subjects. For example, all smart phones are descendants of the first ever cellular phone, the Motorola DynaTAC8000x.++ …show more content…
As a result, we now have very advanced cellular phones compared to the 1970s. Similarly, the process of photography has changed people’s outlook on technology; additionally, photography changed the ability to capture the events in history. The first surviving photograph was taken by Joseph Nicéphore Niépce in 1826. This photograph was taken using the Heliography process. For the Heliography process, Niepce “used bitumen of Judea dissolved in oil of lavender, a substance which hardens and becomes insoluble if exposed to strong light…when a thin coating of this mixture was spread onto a pewter plate and exposed to sunlight, a positive image was the result.” He used a camera obscura he personally designed and built himself, as a result, he created the world 's first fixed photograph from nature. +his of phot.+ The image shows a view from Niépce’s upstairs window at his estate in Le Gras, the Burgundy region of France.++ Eventually, photography became more established and there was more clarity …show more content…
The respiratory infection, commonly known as pneumonia is caused by bacteria, viruses, mycoplasmas, and fungi which enter your body while your immune defense is low. Pneumonia either affects the lungs in one part of your lung, which is called “lobar pneumonia”, or it may be generally spread throughout your lungs, which is called “bronchial pneumonia.” ++ Both forms of pneumonia make it difficult for oxygen to reach the blood causing cells to not work properly. If one’s cells are not working properly, eventually the individual will die due to a lack of immune defense and body regulation. Radiography plays a key role in monitoring pneumonia because radiographs show the how much phlegm is inside the lungs and how far it has spread throughout the lung. The radiograph will give the physician an idea of exactly how bad one’s condition is, resulting in an immediate treatment and prevention of death or any serious lung
