What is Cancer?

Tumors are also defined as a mass of tissues which also called lumps. These tumors are formed when the normal process of cells dividing itself was disrupted because normally, our body signals the cells when there’s in need of new cells and when the old or damaging cells needs to die- which is called cell death, apoptosis. Hence tumors are formed and unlike normal cells, the cancer cells do not have a specific function as compared to normal cells. Therefore, the cancer cells continue to divide itself, without stopping itself from producing new cells. Internal radiation therapy is when a doctor put radioactive material placed in the body near the cancer cells. Systemic radiation therapy uses radioactive substances such as radioactive iodine so that the radioactive material can travel through the bloodstream. Although radiation therapy is not advisable due to the fact that it kills healthy cells and tissues.
Another possible treatment for cancer is chemotherapy. Chemotherapy is used in cancer patients because it can slow the growth of cancer cells. Chemotherapy is a seismic therapy. This means it can affect your body. Chemo medications attack rapidly growing cancer cells but they can also affect growing rapidly healthy cells. The effects of chemotherapy you can have is fatigue, hair loss, easy bruising and bleeding, infection and anaemia if you continue with this therapy you might die because it can disrupt your bodily
