Influences On My Mexican Culture

There are many different cultures in the world and it would be too difficult to try to explain all of them. I know that the only way that I could explain a culture is to explain one that I already know well enough. Mexican culture is a culture that is closely related to me because my family comes directly from Mexico. My parents have greatly influenced my Mexican culture. Mexican culture has a wide variety of festivities, foods, traditions, and dances. Important holidays celebrated in Mexico are “El Día de los Reyes Magos”, “El Día del Niño”, “La Independencia de México”, and “El Día de los Muertos”. Typical dishes served in Mexico are made out of “Maíz” (corn) and “Chile” (chili). Traditions are closely related to holidays celebrated in Mexico. This day is like a second Christmas to people in Mexico. On this day every kid receives a gift from the three wise men. One of the traditions is to cut the “Rosca de Reyes” and in each “Rosca” there is a baby figurine, this is related to their religion by symbolizing the time when Jesus and his family were hiding from King Herodes.
