The atomic radius will slowly decrease as you move across a period on the periodic table; this is caused by the addition of protons found in the nuclei of the elements. For every new proton being added, several electrons will also be included into this process by joining the identical energy level (ultimately accounting for one electron per element in said period). The electrons then attract the protons, whilst failing to shield from or repulse this attraction. Given the above information, the effective nuclear charge will most certainly increase.

When traveling down a group, the atomic radius will increase and the valence electron sets of each element will become located farther away from the nucleus. This result is due to the increased number of occupied energy levels; consequently, the effective nuclear charge will decrease.

Additionally, the shapes of NH3 and PH3 are quite similar, as they both use Trigonal Pyramidal (Four Subtituents) Geometry. NH3 would ultimately have a stronger attraction, due to nitrogen's higher level of electronegativity.This particular chemical compound is identified as Copper (II)
