I can tell that the photo was taken outside because it’s bright and the blurred background features objects that look like trees or bushes. The photo also clearly shows that the boy was working. It was taken when children were part of the workforce during the Industrial Revolution. There are three inferences that can be made about my photo. I presume that the job of the boy in the photo was to punish the younger boys if they didn’t work in the coal mine. I can tell he worked in a coal mine because he’s dirty, and he has a whip which tells me that he must have been using it on something. Another thing I assume is that the photo is posed because the boy is looking right at the camera and he isn’t moving. For my final inference, I can tell that the object on his head is a light, because light is necessary in for working in a coal mine. In conclusion, this is a photo of a young teenager who was working in a coal mine during the time of the Industrial Revolution. The boy was wearing a hat with a coal miner’s headlamp attached to it and he had a whip hanging over his shoulders. He was very dirty as if he’d just stopped working to pose for a photo. My pictures is a primary source photograph taken during the Industrial Revolution when child labor
