Industrial Revolution Impact On Business

As America became a giant industrial country, many new inventions were created that greatly influenced the business growth during the Industrial Revolution. Advances in communication led to inventions such as the typewriter, the telephone, phonograph, transatlantic cable, and the incandescent light bulb while advances in business growth led to other inventions such as barbed wire, electric motor, and the diesel engine. Inventions that improved communication made it more efficient by speeding up the process and improving legibility, allowing for faster sharing of information, altering musical entertainment by no longer needing it to be played live for people to enjoy it. Using morse code allowed businesses to stay open later and made it easy to quickly spread news and data to many other countries. The typewriter was a machine used for writing characters on a paper, while the telephone was a device which used vibrations to produce and return sound waves through electrical signals. Factors of growth from the Industrial Revolution were efficiency and innovation. These two factors when paired together drove the revolution because by making machines, they were able to cut down on time and energy while also boosting production. From 1865 to 1900, this practice began to expand and as a result, the country began to thrive economically as well. The unbelievably rate of expansion due to efficiency and innovation resulted in transportation expanding, having electricity become a standard, and industrial processes becoming quicker and easier than ever.
