Authoritarian parents would have lectured Danny about the incident. They expect their children to behave in an appropriate matter at all times. In addition, Danny would be punished, insulted as well as be shamed. There would definitely be consequences for Danny’s action.
However, the strength of being an Authoritarian parent is that their children feel confident that they can master anything. On the other hand, the weakness of being an Authoritarian parent is that their children usually turned out hating school because of the drills and pressure to do great in their academics. Majority of the children who were raised by Authoritarian parents usually have psychological issues, for example depression and anxiety, and worst of all, some of them may become suicidal (Raise Smart Kids, n.d.).

These parents are also more nurturing. Authoritative parents expect their children to be more mature, independent as well as being more responsible. These parents usually explain their family rules and why they are chosen as well as they explain their actions behind their disciplines (Anderson & Sabatelli, 2011).

In other words, they would look for something positive out of the situation instead of being negative.
However, the strength of being an Authoritative parent is that their children are more independent as well as having more self- confidence, they are usually academically successful and have good behaving habits. The weaknesses of being an Authoritative parent is if by any chance their children get into an argument with them, they may start to act in a controlling way. This can cause the children to get confused as well as annoyed.
