However, I think a lot of the desire to keep Indian children with Indian parents is because of culture. The Indians have different caretaker roles and are very collectivistic society. They are all about the group and what is best for the tribe. However, culture plays a huge part with keeping children with Indian parents, which I agree with because the child should be able to learn about his or her culture, versus being adopted and not knowing about their culture. This could lead to the child becoming ostracized within their community.
