One of the classes from college I need to take some classes from Incident Command System. However, this week's readings are more in depth and newer information to me. The video about Incident Command System helped me to learn more about the roles in the system. From the video, it shows how different positions from Incident Command System take parts in an emergency.

Due to the lack of emergency service field, the assigned readings about Scene Control and Planning system are fascinating to me. Any mistakes could lead to severe damages and possibly affect the investigation. For example, "Public protection involves establishing an area of safe refuge for those who are contaminated, thus reducing the chances of secondary contamination" (FEMA. 1999. P. 45). On the other hand, it is important for the emergency management to plan accordingly and accurately. The emergency management has to understand the situation to plan accordingly. The potential risks are unpredictable, and it could be dangerous to people who are participating. "jurisdictions' hazard mitigation plans are an excellent resource for this step, as they are required to identify, catalog, and analyze all natural hazards that have the ability to impact the specified community"(FEMA. 2010. P.55). There are too many uncertainties and hazards that could lead to massive consequences. The enormous consequences could be catching the wrong person who is responsible, or the pieces of evidence are contaminated that could not be tested for the incidents. There are many possibilities; that is the reason collecting intelligence is another important procedure. Intelligence helps a great deal in investigations; however, it is important to know what to share and what
