The incans had a huge empire. Their empire stretched 2,500 miles long and was home to more than 10 million people. One of the incan cities is cuzco. Cuzco was also the incan capital which lays 10,000 feet above sea level. Another famous city is machu picchu the city in the clouds.

The incan empire was only 50 years old before they died off. The Incans were great builders and mostly built with stone but There temples were made of gold. Fortifications at machu picchu were made of boulders some weighing 100 tons or more! The Incan armory consisted of hardwood spears,javelins,arrows,clubs,maces,and slings. The Incan army mainly consisted of non-Incans. The units were hard to control because they spoke different languages. The Incans would ask their enemy to surrender before battles if they they didn't they would attack in large numbers. Francisco pizarro was the name of the spanish explorer who discovered the Incans. Pizarro later brought back men to capture the gold which weighed 24 tons and was worth 267 million dollars. Cuzco then fell to the spanish and all portraits were lost.
