Human dignity is one of the main foundations of the informed consent, that we as future nurse and loyal defenders of the needy obliges us to treat others as we would like us to address. Dignity is something elementary within every person and is common to every individual. Thus, the dignity should be considered as the heritage of everyone, which opposes any invasion of an individual as a fundamental ethical principle.

The principle of autonomy in nursing requires equal treatment of professional relationship, ongoing communication, and emotional support to patients and their families, as a consequence of the dignity human, inseparable from freedom according to our ethics.
Inadequate informed consent is considered as the absence of the same, achieving early legal causes that it induces. The signing of informed consent does not exempt the doctor’s liability for malpractice, however, its misapplication about negligence in a procedure, otherwise defensible. The doctor and the nurse telling not liable for damages due to the procedures, although there is no professional malpractice. Informed consent may lose their protective function in the field of medico legal of not performed properly. On the other hand, it should not be forgotten that demand greater protection medical consists of a good communication with patients.
