A weakness of CAF is that consent from a parent is needed before the process can take place. "Parent or carer has to give their consent for a CAF to be undertaken." When doing this practitioners can not involve other agencies or services to help met the child's needs as the parent or carer also has to state who the CAF can be shared with. Thurrock accessed on 12/02/18 This will help to met a variety of needs as its best so that there are positive outcomes for children and young people. This will also lower the amount of time it takes for referrals to be made for the child or young person. Within my practice the more practitioner's involved within a tasks or situation the more knowledge is provided so therefore the best advice can be given. When this happens issues and situations can be solved
