Operational level is one of the three warfighting levels, in between of Strategic and Tactical. This level categorise echelons of command and operations activities. Ac-cording to AJP-5 operational level is described as ‘The level at which campaigns and major operations are planned, conducted and sustained to accomplish strategic objectives within theatres or areas of operations’ (AJP-5, 2013 p. 1-13). With refer-ence to that we can state that operational level is most effective and important in terms of its focus on implementation and execution of higher objectives, in our case, strategic ones. All things considered in this chapter, we can state, that operational level is effective in terms of its practicality where main concentration of action is on implementation and execution of strategic objectives. In regard of operational leadership we can affirm that constant interaction with the strategic level is essential, and as a result, knowledge and skill of strategic level leadership must be understood and exercised. Therefore, focus on self-confidence and self-responsibility where leaders must exercise and develop their knowledge and skills by emphasizing strengths in own efforts, and in parallel not being afraid to take risks in new opportunities and experiences, not being critical in self-evaluation as also in giving and receiving feedbacks. On the whole, there is very thin line, in terms of difference, between operational and strategic leaders. Main focus is on exercising ‘Critical Thinking’ where decisively and intelligently made decisions allow success of leadership. As well as ‘Strategic Thinking’ (Strategic Minded) must be considered where ability to instigate trust within and outside organization comes to
