Nurse, a highly respected profession, is characterized by a mandatory discipline to govern the life processes of each patient that is being cared for. In the Professional Communications course, as a student nurse we are taught how to build a nurse-client relationship throughout the program. For each individual student nurse and nurses, it is crucial to know the difference of a nurse-client relationship appropriately to working professionally in the medical field. At first, in my logic, communication skills was just about assessing the patient to alleviate their lifestyle and promote positive health. Apprehending on communication skills is recognizing that each patient is different and how each resident is taken care of; whether independently or with total care. A nurse-client relationship is beneficial for every nurse, for instance, when giving a care in the morning the client does not have to be irritated and anxious when getting dressed and finishing the morning routine. In clinicals, each resident knew their morning routine who were cognitively stable. On the other hand, people with dementia had an assertive behaviour and nostalgic moment from their past. However, becoming a valuable nurse, it is crucial to comprehend communications skills and abilities when entering into the medical field. Furthermore, to have an advantage on communication skills it is about building the ability together as a health care team when assisting a patient. With a strong fundamentals on communication skills anything is possible when promoting the clients health positively. To excel as nurse, student nurses need to know first the fundamentals of each five courses of what is being taught and acknowledge the book teaching during clinicals or any absolute events. To grow prosperously, student nurses needs to voice out what is going on in and outside of the facility, for instance, any harassment between a resident and a nurse. To value as an individual, students needs to learn how to appreciate their job and why they do it, for instance, taking care of ailing patient.
