“I can't change the direction of the wind, but I can adjust my sails to always reach my destination.”(jimmy dean). This quote means that you can't always control things, but people can do things to help things go more smoothly or going the right directions. Teens should be allowed to read Eleanor & Park because it shows people to be okay with who they are, to keep pursuing even when life throws thunder down at people, and there is always a way out of a situation. Teens should be allowed to read Eleanor & Park because it shows teens to be okay with how they look or who they are as person. This evidence shows that Eleanor falls in love with an Asian kid named Park. Eleanor goes on adventures and gets bullied about how she looks.

This evidence shows that life gets in hey way but people just have to keep on moving with the flow. In Eleanor & Park, Eleanor is being bullied in her gym class her math book is written on all the time, and now they went to far and this is what happend, “”what are you doing” Mrs. Burt asked. “Looking for my clothes,”Eleanor said. “You should use the same locker every time, so it’s easy to remember.” “No, somebody... I mean, I think somebody took them.” “Those little bitches...” Mrs. Burt sighed. LIke she couldn't imagine a bigger hassle. Mrs. Burt started opening lockers at the other end of the room. Eleanor checked the trash and showers. Then Mrs. Burt called out from the bathroom. “Found Them!”” (Rowell 239). That quote explains that even though she got bullied she still went on with life and got help by the counselor. As the book went on it happend less and less and in the end her life blot better. Her enemies because her friend and helped her when she needed it the most. She had a better life when she didn't stop because people pushed her down or did wrote things on her book. If she did she would never be able to go on with life and it wouldn't get better. In Eleanor & Park it shows to keep pursuing forwards even when life gets in your way or knock people down at the wrong moments. To keep on going on with life even when it get to hard to keep
