Mark Fainaru wrote this documentary to enlighten us on what is really causing the football players concussions. Scientist were figuring out why players life spans were not very long. They bought it to the league which they were denying the true fact that were going on. The League kept denying the subject and tried to cover it up possible ties with the player’s concussions and their suffering on the football field and all the brain injuries. The league covers up the real reason why they are getting these injuries, while they are still running the business. Aikmon had suffered from a hit to his head from another player’s knee. He could not go back in the game because it was so severe, he was rushed to the hospital. Troy were visited by his friend he was in a dark room and didn’t know where he was. Troy asked him why he was here and the man replied that he took a knee to the head. He asked him did they win, he told him yeah and that they are going to the playoff. He did not remember the game at all. A few minutes later Troy would repeat himself again and ask him where was he and did they win. Troy had a bad concussion to the point where he could not function on his own. The NFL still was denying that what happened to Troy was because of football. They hired a Dr. to say that concussions were not coming from the game. The NFL had people on their side through it all by telling lies about they are researching the problem. Troy had to go into surgery so he could be able to function his brain. They still were denying that the players were not suffering from long term disorders. The player’s. The league was not caring about the players for almost twenty years it took over twenty-five scientist and lawyers to beat them in this case. The league wanted to protect the game of football instead of recognizing the true meaning why they was where they are. The football players gave of the excitement the fans wanted to see. The players were destroying their bodies and not recognizing that it was not good for them. It is very important to think about the player’s health and lives no one should let glory come in the way of their players.
