I noticed all grades of students were very much involved with extra-curricular activities such as learning sign language specifically for one student, which had hearing and verbal struggles. For example some students received a Christ like award for taking the time and effort to put together their float for the Christmas parade, or one of my students got a Christ like award for putting a great amount of effort and involvement in their math work. I was able to help in choosing of the students I thought deserved an award for the month of December, which was a very unique and exciting experience. I enjoyed giving the student credit and praise for all their hard work for that month, I think it will also encourage students to try their hardest, to show off their great skills and efforts in the classroom. Parents were allowed to attend these ceremony’s, letters were sent home the Monday and the ceremony’s usually happened on the Friday. This would give the parents a chance to come to the ceremony, if their child was going to be receiving an award. This little action that the teachers and the principle take to arrange this ceremony is very meaningful, with the hopes to inspire the students to act in a kind
