Immigrants have had a vital contribution to an improvement to the economy of the United States. With an immigrant population of 43.3 million in the U.S. and still growing the economy will only get better. People have started immigrating and moving to the U.S. since the 1600’s and the economy has been getting better since. People from all over the world has immigrated to the U.S. including Asians Latinos and many others. Immigrants have a major impact in the increase of the economy. Immigrants help improve the economy by starting businesses and creating jobs for people. Immigrants have a 30 percent higher chance to start businesses over non-immigrants. About 900,000 immigrants opened small businesses which is 18 percent of the small businesses and small businesses that are opened by immigrants create jobs for American workers meaning less people are out of jobs. As of 2007, immigrant opened small businesses created 4.7 million jobs, estimated at $ 776 billion per year.
