ARCHIVES POLICY
1 Nature and components of the archives policy
1.1 Authority of document
This policy establishes the framework within which the ICA Archives’ functions, all practices and procedures must be in accordance with its provisions.
This document has been produced by the Archivist, who will be responsible for the periodic revision and amendment of the policy.
This policy is applicable to all employees– whether permanent, probationary, or contractual – alumnae and parents of ICA, and other potential users of the Archives, therefore, this document should be made available to the ICA community.

1.3 Roles and Responsibilities
The Archives is part of the Administrative Services under the supervision of the Finance Administrator.
The Archivist is responsible for overseeing the daily operation, safe-keeping, and maintenance of archival records –both print and non-print materials – for posterity, organization and description of archival records by developing and implementing records management policies, guidelines, and procedures for both the ICA Archives collection and the records under the custody of various departments and offices. The Archivist reports to the Finance Administrator.
The Archives Librarian is responsible for the safe-keeping and organization of ICA’s official student, parent and alumnae publications, as well as memorabilia, and audio-visual materials produced for and by the School, in coordination with the Archivist, and making the Archives collection accessible to the ICA Community.
