For only being 10 years old he is very curious. He is very imaginative because he imagines the world as a beautiful place then to discover it is not beautiful. He’s very curious because he is young and grew up during the nuclear war where he was kept inside of an observatory and was never allowed to go outside. He’s also very excited because his dad lets him go outside and Marvin is excited to know what the earth is really like, even if it’s not what he thought it was like. Marvin is observant because when they were near the mountains Marvin realize something strange was happening to the land ahead of him. The last trait of Marvin is that he is reflective. Reflective because after his father explained everything to him and he understood what was going on he stated he had a dream that one day he hopes everything can change in the world therefor the people did not have to live like they were living …show more content…
By grabbing the readers attention the author can also change the readers mood from details and word descriptions of the setting. The author uses details to create mood so it changes the readers perspective on the story. Authors who don’t do this usually have stories that are not intriguing and most likely boring. Creating moods makes the reader think and imagine what’s going on in the story. Like I said before if the author did not do this he would be losing readers because most people would not be intrigued or interested in a flat
