ICD-10 is the Internal Classification of Diseases, Tenth Revision is the standard diagnostic tool for epidemiology, health management and clinical purposes. By using the ICD-10 classification system, this can be used to monitor any current diseases that affects the world by determining specific targets to countries or populations (WHO). ICD-10 is different from its predecessor by adding alphanumeric categories to expand classification options. One of the main revisions to the coding which provides more detail of the patient such as what side of the body such as left or right or the direction of the area such as superior or anterior.
