Mario Andretti once said, “Desire is the key to motivation, but it’s the determination and commitment to an unrelenting pursuit of your goal – a commitment to excellence – that will enable you to attain the success you seek.” This quote has played a key role in my journey to a career in pharmacy. At the center of my decisions, goals and experiences has always been a strong sense of purpose. I have shown unwavering dedication and enthusiasm in all aspects of my life, and I believe this will make it possible for me to successfully achieve my goals.

My interest in the world of healthcare began at a young age. Both of my parents worked in hospitals, and I grew up admiring their compassion for their patients. I knew I wanted to have the same impact

During my first four years of higher education, I was able to study biology and chemistry on a detailed level. I dedicated my time to learning and doing well, and graduated with a 4.0 cumulative GPA. My ability to excel academically will help me achieve my goal of successfully finishing the pharmacy program and residencies. I have held several positions throughout my professional background, such as a dining room supervisor, a teaching assistant, and a pharmacy and hospital volunteer. The different environments I have worked in have taught me a wide variety of skills that I can continue to utilize. These experiences have shaped me as a person and have provided me with the confidence to accomplish my goals. A major part of my personal background is my involvement in competitive dance. I have devoted 20 years of my life to one of my favorite hobbies. Aside from learning about time management, commitment, and hard work, I also learned how quickly your life can change when you do what you love. This type of passion will push me to achieve my career goals. I believe that my well-rounded background and steadfast attitude will allow me to make a difference as a pediatric oncology
