Desire is a word that is big enough to change an individual’s life. I desire for learning, attaining better and higher education. We shouldn’t force our wish on others, then why to impose or be a burden to someone. From my childhood, I always tried to support my family instead of being a burden to them. I had worked in an education institution as a receptionist during my under graduation. I have a sister who is still a dependent kid, her education, her living every thing is relying on my family and I don’t want to increase any more burden to my family. During the early days of my under graduation, I wasn’t a very scholar student. In my first semester I was awarded with 7.81 out of 10. I wasn’t satisfied with my performance. Immediately after my first semester I started planning for next semesters with a better schedule, better strategy, and bulk of books. And with all my effort and determination I always saw an increasing graph, growth in my marks. By the end of my under graduation I tasted my best grade i.e 9.37 out of 10. Not only my grades got improved, but also my knowledge, my dedication towards studies, my craving for learning new things got increased. And finally reading books became my hobby. There I learned how to plan, how to design, how to manage work, that too in a short period of four weeks showed me a real picture of the construction. My training was of “Construction of Dwelling Units including Allied Services for Officers” in Visakhapatnam. I had an exposure to various faculties of Construction Management during the program. I was benefited immensely by being a part of the construction management and the structural erection teams, though for a short period. And there I got a clear idea about the specialization I would pursue my masters in. I understand that the increasing complexity of the projects requires immaculate planning and management in order to achieve maximum efficiency with the available resources minimizing wastage. And in this way my love for construction management took birth. With a passion to work in real time projects, I took up a project on the planning and scheduling of a Hydro-electric power project. It essentially is all about planning, scheduling and controlling of the project using Microsoft Project software as a tool for executing the project management principles and practices.. At the time of taking project I wasn’t familiar with the Microsoft project platform.
