As it can be seen, being a cheerleading takes a lot more work than people expect, but there are many more things to include if you want to be a successful cheerleader. You will always need to have a positive attitude and high spirit which means that you need to always smile even when you do not feel like it. Remember that smiles are contagious. If someone who was not having such a good day is around someone with a good attitude and someone who is smiling, they will most likely be in a better mood. One thing that successful cheerleaders have in common is that they can be strong leaders. They are able to take charge whenever it is needed. Practice hard, be a good student in school, do your best at everything you do, and also don’t take shortcuts. Outside of cheer, make sure you look after yourself though, meaning that you need to choose who your surround yourself with very wisely. Your friends should be people who have life goals just like you and who want to be successful in life. Your friends should not be people who are always skipping school, getting into trouble, involved in alcohol and drugs, and people who don’t work hard. To make yourself and the squad better, take challenges. Challenges can make yourself a better cheerleader and make your squad a better team. Instead of looking at a challenge as something that is holding you back, look at it as something to work on and get through as a team. Cheerleaders also give back which is a huge part of being a cheerleader. They spread plenty of school spirit and so a lot of things to help make other people happy instead of just themselves. With all of this set aside, another aspect that will help you be successful is to just have fun. If people see you cheering and having fun while doing it, they will most likely follow your
