The distinguishing features of rejected children differ harshly with those of the popular “in group.” As an alternative of monitoring negativity, and this happens to the popular children, rejected-aggressive youngster exhibit high stages of instrumental aggression, verbal unconstructiveness, and disorderliness (Broderick and Blewitt, 2014). First of all, if I was the school counselor or a school teacher, then I would help Hyun-Ki in several ways. The first thing I would do is give Hyun-Ki counseling every week; furthermore, he could tell me about his fears, insecurities, and I could teach him coping skills. Second, I would place Hyun-Ki in speech therapy, and they pull him out of the class discreetly. The speech therapy would him pronounce his English words, and it would help Hyun-Ki build the self-confidence that he desperately needs. The next thing I would do is put teachers on bullying awareness, and if Peter and his friends were caught bullying Hyun-Ki, then there would be consequences. Peter and anyone bullying Hyun-Ki could be given detention, counseling, and expelled from school if it came to that. There could be a hotline for bullying implemented, and the school counselor could converse with the aggressors of the bullying. The school could implement a program to raise awareness for the parents in a parent/teacher meeting. Awareness starts with parents and can continue with the children. Bullying for Hyun-Ki is an everyday occurrence, and no child should have to live in fear of his peers; subsequently, it could cause Hyun-Ki severe irrefutable and irreparable psychological and physical damage that could carry into his adulthood. There could be community awareness, and a motivational speaker, and law enforcement could come as a speaker. The law enforcement official could talk to them about the consequences of bullying, and the realities associated with bullying. They could demonstrate a PowerPoint on people in prison for bullying and inflicting harassment of an individual.
