Our country is quite similar to Panem, the dystopian society in which Hunger Games takes place. There are those with wealth and those with poverty. This distinction is the fundamental aspect of The Hunger Games and employs the main conception of the novel. Collins achieves a remarkable piece of literature with The Hunger Games through the themes, characterization and plot, and the setting.
