Thank you mum for coming all the way from Brooklyn to see my poster and picking me up as usual  I can't tell you how thankful I am for everything that you have done for me. Thank you for showing me how strong a woman can be by raising me all by yourself. I know it's hard to take care of a shopaholic/princess like me haha. Thank you for giving up your comfortable life in Hong Kong and coming all the way to America with me to keep me company. I didn't realize how lucky I am until someone told me that she is jealous of me because I'm able to have an actual family here. Thank you for always putting me in the first place whenever you're making decisions. I don't know if you have ever wondered why I would join a cancer research lab and want to be a pharmacologist in the future. …show more content…
I will never forget how you suffered through your chemotherapy treatment. I will never forget how you couldn't even finish a flight of stairs because the chemo drug drained all your energy. I will never forget that day you came out from the bathroom, carrying a bag of hair with tears streaming down your face. I cried literally everyday in the bathroom and I still cry whenever I think about it. I have found my lifetime goal because of you; working in a cancer research lab is now my dream . You don't need to let me know how much money I will make as a pharmacologist in the future cause honestly, I don't give a sh*t about money as long as I can make a living. You are my biggest motivating factor for academic excellence and devote most of my time to research. I don't mind taking 20+ credits while working 25+ hours in labs during the
