Humility

John Ruskin’s quote tells us that a great man is determined by his humility, but what is humility? Humility is not lacking pride but not having too much pride it’s being confident but at the same time having respect for others ideas and beliefs and viewing yourself or putting yourself in others shoes.Everyone has their own perception of humility, whether that is humility in Judaism in accepting who you are, humility in Islamic faith or, humility in Christianity which is not to say think less of yourself but think of yourself less.

1) Muslims are supposed to completely obey God because he is merciful and loving so all he does is best for his people Khatam and Tawa both say that humility is found in piety or the pious people in fully devoting themselves to God there can be no other God or no other religion and there must be full submission with unrelenting faith the authors convey that the english definition of humility has a negative connotation but the in the Islamic faith “tawāḍuʿ means to put, place and locate mutually.” (pg.48 inte.-humility para.7) as in no one should be higher or lower than the other.(add more)humility is highly regarded in the islamic faith the people should lack arrogance and embody humility with humble and peaceful hearts.
Judaism views humility as not looking or being completely self-absorbed they believe that Moses was a set example of a follower of God the father when he took the israelites out of egypt and freed them from bondage or slavery by performing God’s will. In Judaism the glory is given to God every attribute of goodness is because of God so Jews humble themselves Robin W. Lovin (virtue law and sacred..) associates responsibility with humility and refers to Moses as an example of humility Lovin says that it is the responsibility
