The Humanitarian Award is given to an individual who devotes their time helping others. Someone who receives this award puts others happiness above theirs and engages in acts to help others lives. My mom is deserving of this award because she does a lot of volunteering, puts others before herself, and cares about family so much.
My mom, Maureen Hall is 44 years old and is always involved in the community with volunteering. She puts tons of time and effort into things she isn't getting paid for. Right now, my mom is involved in a benefit for a guy named Hollywood who recently got in a motorcycle accident. She is putting lots of money, time, and effort into this benefit to try to help him.
My mom always puts others before herself. She is always helping people with things. If her friend needs help with something, she will always be there. My mom will do anything for friends and family. When my mom used to work at Prudential Retirement, she would always get involved in volunteering activities. She would work at the chili cook off, march of dimes, relay for life, taste of the world, and more.

She will do anything to make her kids happy. She works Monday through Friday and does hair on the side to provide for us. If I ever need something, I know that my mom will be there. She will do anything for family.
These are just a few reasons why my mom deserves the Humanitarian Award. She is always volunteering, puts others before herself, and is the most caring person I've ever met.     I do not think Dr. Fend should get the award since he was caught and was punished for his “disobedience”. Another reason is because he never told anyone about what he had done, his daughter had found out after 15 years of research.
