The Humanistic Holistic Theory originated during the 1950s as a response to the psychoanalysis and behaviorism that was taking over psychology during that period. With that being said, a holistic concept advocate that there are contrasting layers of interpretation and at each layer, there are emergent properties that cannot be decreased to the layer below. When it comes to Humanistic, they have a strong belief that holism is the only credible access to the entire comprehension of the way a person thinks and conduct themselves (McLeod, 2008). The Humanistic Holistic Theory, therefore, is vital for actual personal growth of an individual. An individual is solely responsible for the path that they choose to take and the life that they choose to live. The Humanistic Holistic Theory clearly states that individuals have free will, which sets it apart from other
