The first disadvantage I’m going to talk about is the lack of refuelling station around Australia if you wanted to go on a holiday and you’re driving there in an a electric car there would not be enough fuel to takes you there so this means we need more electric car charging stations around Australia. Another disadvantage is that it takes a long time to recharge the car. Every hour you charge your car it gives you about 32 kilometres. This means you require 4 hours of charging to get full charge. This is a long time so if people forget to plug it in overnight they won’t be able to drive the next day. Also at the moment most electric cars are only two seaters which means that they are not a family car which will cause there not to be many people wanting to buy it. The battery’s in the car needs to be replaced every 3-10 years which is much shorter than non-electric
