Howard Schultz, age 62 of Brooklyn, New York is currently the chairman and CEO of Starbucks..In 1982 Howard Schultz married Sheri Kersch. They now have two children, their son Eliahu is a sports writer for the Huffington post, Adison is their daughter. After high school, Schultz attended Northern Michigan university and graduated with a bachelors degree in communications in 1975.

Howard became a salesman at Xerox later to go on to general manager of Hammarplast, a sweedish drip coffee company. As an employee of Hammarplast Schultz was introduced to a small coffee shop called Starbucks. Howard became a director of marketing for Starbucks a year later.In 1982 Howard Schultz married Sheri Kersch. They now have two children, their son Eliahu is a sports writer for the Huffington post, Adison is their daughter.

After raising four hundred thousand dollars, including a generous one hundred thousand dollar donation by Jerry Baldwin himself, Howard Schultz opened his own coffee shop. Two years later Schultz purchased Starbucks for 3.8 million. Leaving Starbucks was Schultz smartest business move as it allowed him the opportunity to open his own coffee shop in addition to giving him the opportunity he was looking for to change Starbucks like the Italian coffee shops he was inspired by.

Another major event in Schultz career was owning the Seattle Super Sonics, an NBA team. In 2006 the Super Sonics were purchased by an out of state group for 350 million dollars. Howard Schultz lost a large amount of popularity after the sale resulted in the team being moved to a different state.Seattle officials did not come up with a resolution to provide funds to build a new stadium, which was the main reason for the new owners taking the team out of state.Howard Schultz will leave behind a legacy that has changed the coffee
