Six years ago, I would have never imagined that I would be the type of person that I am today. When I moved back to Unalaska in the 5th grade, I wasn’t very outspoken. As a matter of fact, I didn’t even participate in a single extracurricular activity. Looking back at it as a Senior in high school, who finally learned how to balance my extracurricular activities with my academics. Make more interesting As I grew older, I gained eligibility to take part in more of the clubs and sports that my school had to offer. During my first two years of high school, I played volleyball, basketball, and ran cross-country. On top of that, I joined my school’s Tsunami Bowl team, Pep-Club, Pep-Band, Battle of the Books, and Student Government, Teen Council, and National Honors Society. …show more content…
I came to a realization that I should prioritize certain extracurricular activities so that I could put more time and effort into the rest of the extracurricular activities I was in. I discontinued my participation in volleyball, Pep-Club, Pep-Band, and Battle of the books. However, I was still in two different sports and five other extracurricular activities, and on top of that I was the President of the junior class, which meant that I was essentially in charge of planning the high school prom. With all of this going on, I strived to keep my grades up and to maintain my 4.0
